Traffic paint is one of the most widely used and versatile pavement marking materials. Paint is a low cost marking which can be used on all pavement surfaces as a permanent or temporary marking. There are two types of traffic paint that we use. Which paint is used depends on the time of year.
Waterborne Paint is a water based paint that is versatile and quick drying reaching a no track condition quickly.
- Advantages
- Reasonably quick “no track” dry time (still requires coning)
- Low unit cost
- Easy clean up, environmentally friendly (No VOC's)
- Versatility; can be applied over any material on any surface

- Disadvantages
- If it rains immediately after application paint washes away

- Seasonal limits May 1st to October 1st
Regular Dry Paint is also a versatile material that is also quick drying.
